Gering Bulldog Bulletin

As we expand our after school learning opportunities, we are excited to announce a new evening bus transportation option for students! Beginning, Wednesday, November 9th an evening bus pick up will be available for Gering Junior High and Gering High School students.

The bus will drop off to a variety of Gering neighborhoods which include:

• 2 Terrytown stops
• Bellevue
• Meadows
• L Street Apartments
• Oregon Trail Park
• Northfield Elementary

Schedule: Mon, Tue, Th, Fri @ 4:30pm; Wed @ 3:30pm

Why are we doing this? As we continue to encourage students to take advantage of additional academic supports like ELO tutoring and after school programs (see details below), we wanted to be able to address some of the access barriers.

What about elementary? We do currently have a few after school clubs at the elementary level and the district has been providing transportation to students (upon request) through December. When the additional clubs become active in January, we will share updates as we launch the elementary evening bus route.
