Staff of the week
Mrs. Nash has been teaching at Verona for 17 years. She originally obtained her GED in Dallas, Texas. She then went on to graduate from MSU. Mrs. Nash has tons of experience in teaching and is a perfect fit in Verona. She enjoys working, and learning how to work, with Verona’s bunch of diverse kids. She has three kids of her own: Dustin, Audrey, and Jamie. If she was not a teacher, she would have been an attorney. Her hobbies include watching baseball, playing pro foosball, and hanging out with her kids.
Student of the week
Korbin likes to learn, making him a good candidate for a model student. He voices his opinions while letting other voice theirs. He plans on going to college for computer maintenance. He lives at home with his sister, his mother, his grandmother, and his mother’s boyfriend. They also have four horses, two dogs, and a bunch of chickens running around. His hobbies include playing video games, drawing, and working on cars. Korbin loves Verona and all the people in it. He loves the community atmosphere and all the teachers as well. His favorite teacher is Mr. Freeman because of his sense of humor.
Joke of the Week
