A Note from PTO Executive Board
A Note From Coach Hayes
Town Center Elementary has kicked off the American Heart Association’s KIDS HEART CHALLENGE (KHC) with students watching THIS KHC VIDEO to meet this year’s Heart Heroes and bring home information about Kids Heart Challenge. Our campus goal is to raise $10,000.00 in donations to fight heart diseases and stroke and have 100% of families learn hands-only CPR.
Bonus Fun!
Each student that raises $100 will receive an invitation to a pizza party with Coach Hayes!
Your students can earn this year’s heart heroes by registering: http://www2.heart.org/site/TR?fr_id=7560&pg=company&company_id=380676 or downloading the Kids Heart Challenge app! Your family can learn hands-only CPR by starting Finn’s Mission after you register!
Reminders
Reminder: Friday Lunch Visitors
Here are some answers to questions you might have:
What is the process for visiting my child at lunch?
Lunch visitors will be required to sign in at the front office and receive a visitor badge that must be worn at all times. We will need to see a photo ID (either your license or passport).
2. Eat lunch with your child
You will be able to eat lunch with your child in the cafeteria. There will be designated tables for lunch visitors. You may only eat with your child. No other learners may be invited to eat with you. You may purchase lunch in the cafeteria or bring a lunch with you.
3. Sign out in the office
Parents will be dismissed from the cafeteria. You will need to go back through the front office to sign out at the end of lunchtime. Parents will not be able to join their child(ren) back in the class or at recess.
Who can visit my child for lunch?
District guidelines limit lunchroom visitors at the elementary level to parents, immediate family members with written permission from a parent, and campus mentors. Immediate family members are defined as the student’s parents/step-parents, siblings, grandparents, or any person residing in the home. A parent can list the person(s) who have permission to have lunch for the entire school year.
If anyone other than the parent(s) listed as guardians in our district eschool system is eating with the child, we will need written documentation of your approval. I have attached a copy of the form below, and we will have copies in the office, as well.
