This week the District was notified that we earned the 2023 Missouri Purple Star Designation from the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE). Blair Oaks R-II is one of seven school districts and eleven individual schools in the state to become a Missouri Purple Star School.
The Missouri Purple Star school designation is awarded to military-friendly local education agencies (LEAs) that have demonstrated a major commitment to students and families connected to our nation's military.

Summer employment opportunity. Umpires needed at Wardsville, Taos, and St Thomas; May thru June evenings, game times 6:30 & 8:00, softball & baseball, flexible scheduling, training will be provided along with support throughout the season, $30 per hour. Grades K-8
- Students entering grades K-8 in the 2023-2024 school year
- Students entering grades 6-8 will choose their class preference
- Monday - Friday
- Session 1 (May 31 - June 12) and Session 2 (June 13 - June 23)
- Free enrollment - Only the cost of breakfast and lunch (Please send payment in before summer school starts.)
- Once you complete the online form you will receive a receipt of your responses. Please keep this as confirmation of enrollment. An information email will be sent at the beginning of May with more specific information regarding summer school.
High School Physical Education
- Students in High School in the 2023-2024 school year
- Dates: June 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23 (10 days total)
- Students missing more than one day will not receive credit
- Free enrollment - Only the cost of breakfast and lunch. (Please send payment in before summer school starts.)
- Once you complete the online form you will receive a receipt of your responses. You will also receive an email with confirmation regarding placement in the class.
Driver's Education
- Will not be offered this summer
Please note that there will be an expectation of consistent attendance should students enroll in either/or both sessions.
