We are officially into November! In addition to turning the clocks back, we have a pretty unusual schedule this week.

Monday - Regular School Day

Tuesday - No School for Students

Wednesday - Early Release (Dismissal at 12:25PM) for conferences*

Thursday - Regular School Day and Evening Conferences*

Friday - No School

* Our conference schedule is pretty tight. The purpose of these meetings is to get a broad overview of how your child is performing at this time. Please be on time and stay within the allotted time. One small back up can cause a consistent delay for teachers.

Conferences are the mark to remind us that the end of first trimester is approaching. This means that report cards will be coming in early December. Please be sure you have access to your ASPEN account. If you need support with this, please reach out to the front office Typically, around 60% of the students' report cards are opened. I would love to see that number higher as it is important to see how your child is performing. If there is something I can help with - please reach out.

Even though the sun will now be setting at 4:30PM, I look forward to another month of learning with your children.

Below are the students who were selected as the October students for outstanding effort/work in ST Math or Lexia. Both of these programs are individualized and help students develop strong foundations in both reading and math. Students set goals and work weekly to meet these goals while working on perseverance and strengthening independence. We have seen tremendous success when students consistently meet their targets and have high expectations for themselves. We are so incredibly proud of all our students for the work they are doing.

Our next PTO Meeting is November 15th at 6:00PM. We hope to see you in the Studley Library.

Hello from the Studley Health Office!

We will soon begin the Massachusetts State Mandated Health Screenings. All health screenings conducted are required by law and these screenings are ongoing throughout the school year. Parents and legal guardians may request, in writing, that their child not participate in the program. This request must be written each year and be specific to which screening you do not wish for your child to participate. The elementary school screenings are as follow:

Vision Screening

Vision screenings are conducted for all grades, kindergarten through fourth grade. Parents/guardians will be notified if the student does not pass and referred to their physician for follow-up.

Hearing Screening

Hearing screenings are conducted for grades kindergarten through third grade. Parents/guardians are notified if the student does not pass and referred to their physician for follow-up.

Growth Development Screening

Growth screenings are conducted for students in grades one and four. Heights and weights are measured and calculated into BMI or body mass index.

If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Please log into ASPEN and sign off on the student handbook for your child. Please review the directions below if you need support with the ASPEN task. Once completed, our office staff will complete the process.
