January is School Board Recognition Month!
January is School Board Appreciation Month! Each week we’ll be highlighting different Board members, and we hope you’ll join us in thanking them for all they do for our students and staff. Community ISD’s Board of Trustee members are the best in the state, and we are so lucky to have them!
Catch Up on the Long Range Facility Planning Committee!
Our final long range facility planning committee meeting took place last week, and if you missed it, the video is up for on-demand viewing on our Facebook page and our YouTube channel. The other three Long Range meetings are also available for your on-demand viewing on Facebook and YouTube.
As a group, our committee voted 30-7 to recommend Option #1 to our CISD Board of Trustees. Our four committee co-chairs - Josh Allred, Brad Patterson, Kris Zilberstein, and Mike Shepard - will present this recommendation to our board on January 24. After the recommendation is presented, the CISD Board of Trustees will determine on February 14 whether or not they will call for a bond to be placed on the May 2022 ballot.
