What's Happening at IC

Welcome back to a new year! We have had a great first week back in school. Students quickly jumped back into school routines and socializing with peers in a safely distanced manner. We are trying a new platform for our newsletter and hope to keep you informed on school happenings, reminders, and upcoming events.

Second Marking Period/First Semester End Dates

The last day of the second marking period/first semester is January 29. February 1 second semester elective courses will begin. Report cards will be available February 11 on Home Access Center. Teachers update grades in Home Access Center weekly.

Health & Safety Reminders

Students should bring their own mask daily to school. We also recommend having a back-up just in case.

We continue to encourage students to socially distance in the hallways while changing classes and in the cafeteria.

Dress Code Reminders

A reminder that our dress code is available in our Student Handbook posted on our website. One item we discuss frequently with students is appropriate tops.

Students must wear apparel that covers the midriff. Tube tops, open back tops, off-the-shoulder tops, and tops with spaghetti straps are prohibited. For girls, straps on “tank tops” must be at least one (1) inch in width. Low cut tops are not permitted. Boys may not wear tank tops, sleeveless shirts, or muscle shirts. Clothing with profane or questionable language imprints is unacceptable school apparel. Low cut tops are not permitted.

Water Bottles

Please send in a refillable water bottle each day with your child. We do not have water fountains this year and seem to be going through a large number of plastic bottles each day. We started putting out a refillable water cooler for students to use at lunch and switching classes.
