NEW THIS YEAR: Personalized labels for kids’ clothes, shoes, school supplies, etc.
Has your child been the victim of lost gloves or hats this year?! Has s/he tried to locate the item in Oak Grove’s Lost and Found bins only to find that there are several identical ones? We have a solution for you; labels!
The PTO has partnered with Stuck On You, which produces durable and personalized stick-on or iron-on clothing labels, shoe stickers, bag tags, clothing stamps and more for your child’s items. This is a great item if you are labeling your child’s towels, swim suits or sandals for summer camp or for labeling those items that come in the school pre-packs for the coming school year. In addition to clothing, shoes and bags you can also obtain allergy labels, multi-purpose labels, as well as an array of other products including stationary.
This is a fundraiser for the PTO in addition to offering convenience and practicality for parents. Please check out the link below or fliers in the Virtual Backpack for more information.

Wednesday, April 11th, the Standards Based Committee hosted a parent night to discuss the progress of the committee and to speak to any questions the parents may have had. Questions were gathered ahead of time to ensure that parent questions were answered. Click here to view the slides that were used to facilitate the meeting. The next middle school standards based committee meeting will take place Monday, April 23 from 4-6 pm.
This week, April 16-20, is PARCC make-up testing. If your child missed any sections of the PARCC assessment last week, they will be pulled from their classes to complete the missing sections in morning and afternoon time slots. Earth Day
April 22nd is Earth Day. At Oak Grove, we'll celebrate this special day on Friday, April 20th by wearing green & making it a Zero Waste lunch day.
We challenge your family for 24 hours not to consume anything that generates waste. That means no candy with plastic wrappers, no resealable bags and no drinking straws.
Can you make it for one day? We'll compare which grade will generate less waste, and recycle as much as possible!
