On the First Day of Christmas
MY LIBRARIAN GAVE TO ME...
Teaching Gifts from the Library
Throughout the next two weeks, I will share with you some tools, both new and old, that can help you in the classroom. Please let me know if you need any help with them. You may want to save these newsletters for future use. Merry Christmas!
The first "gift" is an oldie, but a goodie!
Teaching Books
"If you read fiction and nonfiction books in any discipline or setting, TeachingBooks.net's database of instructional materials will enliven your K–12 reading activities." (Teaching Books site)
click here to go to TeachingBooks site.
There are book trailers and author interviews, as well as teaching guides to support many books, both fiction & nonfiction. The author interviews would be a great support for writing workshop, and the book trailers are great for getting readers excited about a book!

I use this resource in the library, and wanted to make sure you knew about it.
