Next week, East Fallowfield will be hosting a spirit week and our Coin Wars Competition. Students should bring in their coins and will have the opportunity to compete against other homeroomes each morning before announcements. The winners will be announced at the end of the week. The goal is to collect as many pennies as possible in your own homeroom container. Silver coins count against each classrooms total, so students will add pennies to their own container and then silver coins in the containers of other classrooms. It's always a fun time, so be sure to send your coins in for next week!

East Fallowfield Elementary is supporting the CASD SADD Club in their Toiletries Drive. We have a box in the main office where the items below are being collected. Thank you in advance for your support.

On Friday, February 16th, 3rd grade student Sophie Walker redeemed her Class Dojo points for the grand prize of being Principal for the Day! Sophie spent the whole day with Mrs. Willis, helping with lunch duty, reading aloud to our kindergarteners and observing a few classrooms. She did an excellent job and it looks like she would make an excellent principal in the future!

Our East Fallowfield Garden Club had a fun time during their last club meeting. Students had the experience of sorting and identifying 17 different varieties of bean seeds. Students used their previous learning about soil to plant their own seeds to take home and watch grow!

We hope that everyone will join us in celebrating our love for reading in the month of February.

Our next round of pretzel order forms are due on February 21st. This order form is for pretzel delivery for the next 3 months, March, April and May. The order forms have gone home with students but the PDF order forms are below in English and in Spanish for your reference.

The next pretzel delivery date will be Friday, February 23, 2024 from the last order form.

The American Red Cross provides and installs smoke detectors in any CASD students’ homes where they are needed and instructs their families on their use and maintenance. This is done free of charge.

If you do not have a smoke detector(s) or one(s) that don’t work, the Red Cross can schedule a time to visit your home and install new devices. Simply call the Red Cross at 1-800-Red Cross or visit the Red Cross website.

Chromebooks

• Please be sure to send your child back to school with their district-issued Chromebook and charger if they took it home for the summer.
• If your child turned in their Chromebook at the end of the year, they will be distributed within the first few days of school.
• If your child is in kindergarten or new to the district, laptops will be distributed within the first weeks of school.
• Technology Insurance Fees (TIF) can be made via RevTrak on the school district’s website: https://coatesvillearea.revtrak.net/casd-technology/.
• Should you have any technology concerns please contact our Technology Department at ithelpdesk@casdschools.org.

The district is continuing our contract with A Child’s Place as our before and after care provider. Please see the attached flyer below for information about rates and how to enroll your child. We are happy to announce that we will have both before and after care at East Fallowfield this year!
