Roosevelt National Honor Society Trunk or Treat

• South parking lot on Center Street 5:00-7:00 p.m.

Cowles Trunk or Treat!

• Friday, October 28th in the Cowles parking lot - 6:00-8:00 p.m.

Conference Day, No School for Students

• There is no school on Monday, October 31st as that is a designated conference day in DMPS
• Parent-teacher conferences will run from Monday, October 24th through November 4th

Fall Break!

• No School for students, faculty, and staff.
• Monday, November 7th and Tuesday, November 8th (VOTE!!!)
• Students return to school on Wednesday, November 9th

Picture Re-takes

• Tuesday, November 22nd
• If you'd like your child to take re-takes please make sure to let their teacher know so they know who to send!

Thanksgiving Break

• No school for students on Wednesday, November 23rd through Sunday, November 27th
• Students return to school on Monday, November 28th

The CDC recently approved an updated (bivalent) booster for people ages 5+. Individuals must have completed the primary series (2 doses) and be at least 2 months out from their last dose (primary or booster) to receive the updated bivalent booster. More information is available on the CDC's website.

• The guidance for children ages 6 months to 4 years is unchanged - vaccination is encouraged.
• Now is also a great time to receive a flu shot. This can be done during the same appointment.
• People may schedule an appointment for vaccine, including the updated bivalent booster and influenza vaccine, through immunizepolk.com, Hy-Vee, Walgreens, or CVS. Local healthcare providers may have limited supplies of the updated bivalent booster initially.

Mark your calendars! The Central Campus Expo 2022 is almost here! Join us for a night of career exploration on Thursday, November 17, 3:30-6:30pm. 1800 Grand Avenues, Des Moines, Iowa.

The Central Campus Expo will help you explore the world of Central Campus and Career & Technical Education.

• Teachers will be available to answer questions as you tour their programs and watch program demonstrations.
• Explore over 80 vendors/future employers at our Career Fair in the gymnasium.
• Meet with a school counselor to make a course request for a 2023-24 Central Campus class.
• Win prizes.
• Take advantage of FREE childcare, ages 2-5 years (RSVP required).
• Enjoy some treats, and much, much more!
