Dear Larsen Families,

Can you believe November is already here? Fall is in full swing and the holidays that are focused on family, gratitude, and caring are upon us. We have much to be grateful for here at Larsen Elementary School. We have a wonderful, caring staff from our Kitchen staff, our custodian, our paraprofessionals, our office staff, to all of our teachers. I am grateful every day for the opportunity to work with all of them and I know your children are in good hands with each of them. We have supportive parents and a caring community; thank you for all that you do to make Larsen the amazing learning space it is today. And finally, we have incredible students, who challenge themselves every day to learn and be engaged as well as challenging us to become better people. Our kiddos are why we are here every day!

As we complete the last three weeks of instruction before Thanksgiving, please accept our “Thank You” for being a part of our community.

We have some exciting news! School portraits taken by Cornerstone Photography are now available for viewing and ordering! Please note, in accordance with health and safety guidelines, the program is contactless. All orders must be placed online, will incur a $5 shipping charge, and will be mailed directly home. Portrait pickup on campus or in the Cornerstone studio is not available. To view your portrait, click the link below and enter your online code which is LRSN and your Student ID. If you do not know your child’s student ID, please contact our school office and we will provide it for you.

What if I missed picture day?

A makeup opportunity is scheduled for Monday, November 8th for those who missed picture day or for those who are not satisfied with their portrait and want to try again.

We had a wonderful Red Ribbon Week full of engaging activities thanks to our staff committee! RR week is an alcohol, tobacco, and other drug and violence prevention awareness campaign observed annually in October in the United States. The Red Ribbon campaign symbolizes a commitment to raise awareness of the destruction caused by drugs in America. At Larsen, we pledge to be drug-free.

Parent-teacher conferences will be here before we know it! Conference time is a great opportunity to learn about your child's academic progress and growth based on classroom observations, assessments, and assignments. We also learn from parents so that we are better informed about your students' strengths, needs, behaviors, and learning styles.

Please ensure that your students arrive at school no later than 8 am. This will give your child time to walk to their line and be ready to be picked up by their teacher at the first bell which is 8:05 am. Students should be in their seats by 8:07 am. sharp. Any student showing up after 8:07 will be marked tardy.
