- Graduates may pick up diplomas starting at 8 AM.
Senior Checkout
Students will check out through their English Classes. Running Start students may report to the library/media center between the hours of 8:00 AM and 2:00 PM to complete the check out process.
Decorating Graduation Caps
Please take into consideration the following rules when decorating your graduation cap.
Decoration of your graduation cap is not required. Graduation caps will be reviewed and approved in advance of the ceremony. Failure to follow these rules will result in the removal of the cap before the ceremony.
Expectations:
Designs must not be inappropriate or privilege will be taken away.
No objects such as signs, stuffed animals, bells, flowers, or any 3D object may rest on the cap.
ALL decorations MUST lay FLAT(1 inch) on the cap.
Nothing can lay perpendicular thus allowing us to see the decoration beyond eye level.
Nothing can hang down from any side of the cap.
Your cap CANNOT make noise.
Suggested Cap Designs May Include:
Thank a parent, grandparent, teacher, friend
Recognize your post-secondary plans (college, trade school, military)
Recognize your high school activities (ex. sports, clubs, co-curricular activities)
Your graduation year.
Include an inspirational message.
Leave it blank. Decoration of your graduation cap is optional.
Cap decorations must be school appropriate and cannot include:
Offensive language, flags, derogatory names or statements
Contain any advertisement, symbols, abbreviations, initials, words, slogans, patches, or pictures that: refer to drugs or controlled substances, tobacco, alcohol, or weapons or be of a sexual nature.
Nicknames (unless approved)
Gang-related signs/slang
Boyfriend or girlfriend’s name
Political affiliation
Alcohol, drugs, weapons, or be of sexual nature
Threaten the safety or welfare of any person
Students, we highly suggest you trace your cap onto cardboard and decorate the cardboard. In case you make a mistake, you can start over with a new piece of cardboard. We cannot furnish new caps if you damage yours when decorating. You may purchase extras from Jostens. After you decorate it, stick it to your cap with double-sided tape or Velcro stickers.
Administration will reserve the right to disallow anything that is not considered appropriate for the commencement ceremony.

Make 'Em Weep - Optional Event
When: Tuesday, June 13th
Directions:
- Complete the sign up survey sent via student email by June 6, 2023. Survey Link
- Bring your cap and gown with you to EHS on Tuesday, June 13th.
- Drop by the Main Office Conference Room and sign in. Pick up the honorary diploma for the staff member you have selected.
- When you arrive at the appropriate location, surprise your person by playing pomp and circumstance on your way in. Have your group stop the music. You then need to be ready to hand your person the honorary diploma and thank them by letting them know how they have made a difference in your life and why you selected them. Your group should then capture a photo with your phone/camera. Repeat this for each person in your group.
- When you are finished visiting your honorary staff member please sign out.
- Thank You for taking the time to celebrate a staff member that made a difference in your life!
Graduation Tickets
Each senior will receive at least 8 tickets which can be picked up 24 hours after all fines/fees have been paid. Students must sign for their tickets when they pick them up starting on June 9th. Additional tickets will be allocated on an equitable basis. We will base the additional number of students who requested additional. If you need more than your allotment, please note the number needed on the graduation ticket survey - 2023 Graduation Ticket Request.
All students should complete this form and request additional tickets for the ceremony. You can also use this form if you are requesting seats for anyone in the party who is mobility impaired.
We will make every effort to ensure that all requests are filled.
2023 EHS Graduation Ceremonies
Doors Open: 5:00 PM
Where: Pete's Pool
Tickets: 8 Per Student
Ticket Price - Free!
We will hold graduation at Pete's Pool again this year - rain or shine. Doors to the ceremony will open at 5:00 PM. Last year we had a mini traffic jam outside the venue. Please plan to arrive early and carpool if necessary. You can access the parking map below for information on parking at Pete's Pool.
We lucked out on weather last year and are hoping for sunshine again. Please keep your fingers crossed for a similar outcome this year.
Graduates will be asked to arrive no later than 5:30 PM in the field house.
Items not allowed at Pete’s Pool
The 2023 EHS Commencement Ceremony is an alcohol, tobacco, and drug free event. Additionally, air horns, silly string, and beach balls, balloons, or any other items that could distract from the ceremony are not permitted.
