Next week is Start With Hello Week at Jack and throughout TISD, with the goal to create a CLOSER, more CONNECTED and INCLUSIVE classroom and school (please see the graphic below). At Jack we love to celebrate all of our differences and find a way to make connections with everyone. We hope you have time this upcoming week to have some conversations about how important it is to make connections, celebrate diversity, and be kind to one another. This year, due to restrictions, TISD is partnering with Scholastic to host an Online Fair. All order will be shipped to your home! Please see the flyer below for details and the link. The link will be open from September 21st - October 2nd!

This is just a reminder that at this time we are not having any visitors on campus. This includes dropping off of lunches, birthday treats, etc. If you have an emergency, please contact us and we can help you out. Thank you for understanding during this transitional time.

Our Jack PTA provides resources and opportunities for learning experiences, volunteering, and just plain fun! Please consider joining by going to joinpta.org/ . We love our amazing PTA and the support they provide for our Patriots!

We currently working through scheduling and preparing for our annual open house. This event is designed so that you can get updates on curriculum, grade level expectations, and more. The even will be held October 7th. We have not finalized details, but wanted you to be able to mark you calendars!

We wanted to send out an advertisement about following us on Twitter @jacktylerisd and follow me @BSShelby! This is a great way to stay connected to the happenings here at Jack! Our educators are also encouraged to share what is going on in their classrooms using twitter so contact them to see if you can give them a follow! You can also follow us on Facebook, as we post updates frequently and weekly newsletters. Please encourage family members to join, as it is a great way to connect to the learning inside our building from afar!
