As you may have heard, RSV (respiratory syncytial virus), seasonal influenza (flu), COVID-19, and other respiratory viruses are spreading widely.
As you begin your winter break, we want to offer these tips and reminders from the Kitsap Public Health District (KPHD) for staying healthy - and reducing the spread of illnesses.
Many of the same steps recommended to prevent COVID-19 are effective for preventing flu and other respiratory illnesses.
- Stay home as much as possible if you feel sick.
- Wash your hands frequently and carry hand sanitizer with you.
- Cover coughs and sneezes with a tissue or elbow.
- Consider wearing a mask in crowded indoor spaces.
Check out these resources suggested by KPHD:
Every U.S. household is once again eligible to order 4 free at-home COVID-19 tests. Just visit www.covid.gov/tests.

Have you participated in our long-range facilities master plan ThoughtExchange?
Thanks to all who came to our open house this week and who have participated in the ThoughtExchange to guide our long-range facilities plan update. Input from our Bremerton School District community - and the broader Bremerton community - is essential in this process. It is not too late! The ThoughtExchange will be open through this weekend!
