President’s Message

Long time, no see!


As we adjust to our new normal of anything but, the NCBCC board met to discuss future events for the remainder of 2020. While it won’t look like what we’re used to for our fall season, we appreciate those who have creatively problem-solved to identify events that allow for social distancing. Be sure to check out the options to get together (safely of course) and spend some time with your Beardies and other club members.


We hope you are all staying safe and healthy. This pandemic has brought unique challenges to each of us.

Winery event

Come join us for a winery visit on Sunday Sept 12th 12:30-4:00 at Eight Chains North Winery bear Leesburg. They have a dog park where dogs can be off lead. There are tables and chairs under a covering as well. Bring a pot luck picnic style dish to share. Address: 38593 Daymont Ln. Waterford VA 20197

Linda presented status update for agility trial. Due to concerns with COVID-19, Lucy made a motion to cancel the event out of an abundance of caution. Linda seconded. Motion passed

.

The 2021 Nominating Committee was discussed. Robin Lord with be 2020 board representative and will be forming the committee. All current board members are willing to continue serving.


The board discussed October and November events amid the pandemic. We will look into the possibility of an outdoor event in October. We will also look into the possibility of virtual meetings for October and November as needed.


Meeting adjourned at 6:05.

Agility trial canceled

Due to the Covid 19 virus and wanting to keep club members and exhibitors safe, we are sad to report that we have decided to cancel our Oct 23-25, 2020 Agility Trials. We will be back next year.
