We celebrated 100 days of school on Friday! We are thankful our students have been able to continue to learn with face to face instruction this year. We continue to work hard to ensure safety by following all recommended guidelines from the Arkansas Dept. of Health and Springdale Public Schools. Thank you for ensuring your child comes to school with their mask on each day!

Please make sure that the dates are on your calendar for upcoming testing. ELPA21 testing starts this week!

In order to prepare students for their best day during testing please make sure they get a good night's sleep. We will ensure they are fed breakfast!

A big shout out and Thank you to all of our families who participated in the Domino Pizza fundraiser. It was a great success because of you!

What Can We Do to Stay Positive During COVID?

In our current pandemic, it is a reality that it is harder to stay positive. Our lives have changed in so many ways and normal life has become more stressful. It is really important that we find positivity in our lives even during a pandemic. I read an article titled “How to Stay Positive During A Pandemic” found at https://tchsa.org/. This article was very helpful at pointing out some ways that may just help us manage some of our stress in our lives. I have listed some of their suggestions.

· Learn a new language.

· Try some new recipes.

· Try yoga.

· Try meditation.

· Get regular exercise.

· Stay connected with family and friends through phone calls or social media.

I hope some of these suggestions will help! Hang in there. We are all in this together.

Please remember to fill out the COVID form at go.sdale.org/covid if your child has been exposed to someone who tests positive for COVID or if they are positive for COVID. Also, please let Nurse Alicia or the office know.

If your child is an English Language Learner and on a blended schedule they will be required to be face to face everyday for ELPA21 testing. Please mark your calendars and plan accordingly for these dates.
