The Culinary Students were thrilled to spend the day with Cake Artist Sam Pelletier this week. It was an exciting day creating Valentine Treats. The students made cake pops! They learned the proper consistency of the cake and buttercream. Techniques and tips to form, dip and decorate the pops. We decorated with an assortment of fondant, sprinkles and chocolate decorations and then personalized them.

We had a (cake) Popping good time!

This morning criminal justice and CNA classes combined training with the Army National Guard. Our students were trained in field medical procedures including how to stop bleeding, apply tourniquets, and carry a loaded stretcher around obstacles. Students were given directions by one student who could see and the blindfolded students were practicing active listening in order to follow the directions accurately.

Crooker Construction came and talked to the students about their company this week. They have many opportunities for growth and many different job opportunities for our students.
