Hello Mill Valley Families,

The weather is looking promising for tomorrow night's GLOW RUN & GALA! We can't wait to see everyone get their GLOW on!

We would like to sincerely thank our PTO and amazing parent volunteers for Stuffing the Staff during conferences. The subs and taco bar were a hit!

In preparation for Baby Harris's arrival, we'd like to introduce you to Mrs. Plaushines and Ms. Hetzel who will be supporting Mill Valley staff & students while Mrs. Harris is on leave. Mrs. Plaushines is joining us from the district office where she currently serves as the Data and Innovation Specialist. Ms. Hetzel currently serves Mill Valley Elementary as a Teaching & Learning Coach, who specializes in reading.

Remember...you do not have to do the run to come to the dance. Everyone is welcome!

Buy your Glow Gear before the RUN+GALA tomorrow before school and at lunch. Also, we will have a table set up at the RUN+GALA with additional Glow Gear for sale $1-$3. Make sure you are set for the GLOW CONTEST! 1st Place WINS a gift card to Helium Jump Park.

Did you ever wonder where Mrs. Schrot buys all her sparkly clothes and accessories? Well, would you like to find out? Don’t forget to buy raffle tickets at the GLOW GALA to WIN a shopping trip with Mrs. Schrot and a $50 gift card to shop with! All raffle tickets are $1 or a “wingspan” for $10.

LAST CALL for the “LET’S GLOW” RUN+GALA donations! All donations MUST be turned in on Friday!!!

It is a VERY tight race for 1st place. Help your student’s classroom WIN an ice cream sundae party with Mrs. Schrot and Mrs. Harris.

It’s that time of year…Start saving your change for a great cause!

November 4th-8th is Mill Valley’s annual “Coin Drive” to raise money for families in our school who are in need. Every year this event generates a lot of excitement and allows our children to give back to fellow families in the community.

Join us on Thursday, October 31st for our Halloween Parade at Mill Valley. Families are welcome to meet in the gymnasium, entering through door #12. Doors will open at 2:15pm. The parade will start at 2:30pm. Please do not go to the classroom. Students will parade through the hallways and end in the gym for everyone to see their costumes. Your student's teacher will communicate specifics about classroom parties and if they are in need of parent volunteers.

Reminders about costumes:

• No scary or violent costumes
• No weapons
• No make-up or colored hair
• Please bring costumes to change into before the parade (do not wear costumes to school)
