ARCHERY MEETING
LEON'S PATRIOT TREE
The Patriot Tree is named Leon’s Patriot Tree to honor a local fallen Marine hero, Leon Deraps. Blair Oaks is called upon to honor our veterans by donating itemsand/or making monetary donations starting on October 11th.
Please plan to make a donation to support our troops and brighten their holiday season while they protect and defend us. This is the Blair Oaks' Community's opportunity to show our appreciation for their sacrifice and duty to our nation.
BLAIR OAKS HS - PARENT SURVEY
Dear Parent/Guardian:
Your district is taking part in the Missouri School Climate and Culture Survey. Results from this survey will be used as part of the school improvement review during the 2023-2024 academic year. As part of this process, parents, students, and school employees are asked to voluntarily answer surveys regarding programs and services available to students.
Please take a few minutes to answer the survey at the link provided. Responses from all parents will be anonymously summarized and will become part of a report for the school district. The school district will use this report in the development of school improvement efforts.
If you have more than one child in school, you will receive more than one survey link. Please complete a survey for each individual child. Do not complete one survey for multiple children. The surveys will be processed so that school officials receive reports about each building in the district.
The questionnaires contain demographic and opinion questions. You have the option not to respond to any item or not to complete a survey at all.
Thank you for your help.

TEEN DRIVING SAFETY EVENT
First Impact is coming to Jefferson City High School on October 25th and Capital City High School on November 7th, and both events are FREE to any local parents of teen drivers. First Impact is a traffic safety program targeted to parents and/or guardians of teen drivers in the pre-permit, permit or intermediate stage of licensure, free of charge. Ensuring that parents understand the risks and responsibilities associated with driving is essential in preventing teen driving tragedies. First Impact provides the tools parents need to be involved in monitoring, coaching and supporting their new teen driver. Also provided is a parent/teen driving agreement which outlines specific rules that parents and teens can agree to follow during the different stages of licensure of the teen.
Please see the attached flyers with registration information for both events, and Carol Hoorman (ceh8zg@health.Missouri.edu) can answer any questions.
