Getting Ready to Go Back to School

It is the last week of July! Three more weeks of summer break for the students, two more weeks for teachers.


This week's Dragon Weekly contains a lot of information as you prepare to send your students back to school and to get back into the routine that last from from August - May.

Substitute teachers are always needed. ESS will be providing a one-day training on August 2.

Get Your Band On!

It is time for Summer Band Camp '23! Summer band camp schedule is below.


Students will need:

  • Comfortable but school appropriate clothing
  • Tennis shoes for marching
  • Sunscreen
  • Water bottle
  • Lunch
  • Instrument and flip book.
  • 9th graders will receive flip books with music at camp.

DragonFly

Parents - It is very important that this gets completed before your Dragon athlete begins practicing in their sport.


If you have a son or daughter entering 7th - 12th grade and they are going to participate in a sport through the Mountainburg Athletic Department, you must complete the information through the DragonFly portal. This is mandatory through the Arkansas Activities Association.

Football season will be here before we know it. Parents can get a jump start by registering their son for little league football and/or their daughter for little league cheerleading early.

The Mountainburg Board of Education meets once a month unless a special meeting is needed. A study session will be held at 5:15 and the business session will be at 6:00 PM. Meetings are held downstairs in the Mountainburg Administration Building.
