Summer 2023: Explorers Program
Summer Program 2023 Announcement
We are pleased to announce that the MTRSD Explorers Summer Program is back for a 3rd summer. This year we are opening enrollment on Monday March 6th at 6:00 AM. Our goal is to notify everyone within 10 business days of their enrollment status. Families that enroll on the 6th will be notified by March 17th.
This program is open to all students currently enrolled in the Mohawk Trail Regional School District in grades K-5 (students entering 1st grade in the fall of 2023 can enroll).
This year we will not be offering a middle school program, but students interested in being a TA (teaching assistant) can contact Mrs. Woof for more information.

Enrollment is based on a first come, first serve basis. You will be notified of your child's status within 10 business days of completing this form.
General Information
All programs will take place at MTRS in the middle school wing from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. each day. We will provide transportation on a limited need-based basis and is pending until after enrollment to determine needs.
Enrollment opens March 6th at 6:00 AM.
We reserve a limited number of slots for students as identified by the school administration and fill the remaining slots on a first-come, first-served basis.
There will be 20 spots per group each week for the elementary school program. We will enroll 12 students each week on a first-come, first-served basis and will generate a waitlist for any additional openings. Families can enroll in more than one week.
Cost: Program fees are based on a sliding scale. There is no cost for students who receive free lunch, $100 for students who receive reduced lunch, and $200 for all others. For those experiencing financial hardship, scholarships are available thanks to the generosity of the Mary Lyon Foundation. Please note: for those students who have been recommended by their school principals, program fee is waived regardless of financial need.
4H Babysitter Course
Participants will come to understand the responsibilities of babysitting and learn the skills needed to become good babysitters. The course will help develop confidence in handling situations that may occur when babysitting. Upon completion of this course, youth will receive a Babysitter’s ID card and a certificate of completion. This class costs $35 and is offered on 3 Tuesdays after school from 2:30-4:30 on the 7th, 14th and 21st. Email Mrs. Woof today to enroll your student.
