Owens Families,

We have STAAR testing coming up next week for grades 3rd-5th. Here is the schedule below:

• Tuesday, May 11th 3rd-5th Math
• Wednesday, May 12th 3rd-5th Reading
• Thursday, May 13th 5th Science

Please make sure all students, but especially our testers, go to bed early, have a good breakfast, and get to school on time. We are still serving breakfast at school as well if students want breakfast here. The students have worked so hard this year. We cannot wait to see how they will shine on these state assessments. Our Owens Eagles are the BEST!

During Thursday’s Tyler ISD Board Workshop, Trustees approved adjusting our face-covering policy. Starting Monday, May 10, face coverings will be optional for all students and staff while at school or on school property.

Existing students need to be sure to choose the 2021-2022 school year and do not need to upload any documents, but will only update their student information (contacts, phone numbers, email addresses, etc.)

Below are pictures of the lost and found in our gymnasium so far. Please help us get items back to their rightful owners. If you have not already written your child's name in their winter gear, do so today with a sharpie. It helps us get items right back to your child when they are left behind. To claim an item from the photographs below:

• Include the child's name and homeroom teacher so we can return the item
