Leslee Barnes has been teaching for 15 years. She has a Bachelor’s degree from Wayland Baptist University in Composite Social Studies. She also has a Master’s Degree from the University of North Texas in Curriculum and Instruction. She teaches US History AP, World Geography Pre-AP and Student Leadership. She is the Student Council sponsor and a co-sponsor for the Junior World Affairs Council.
Mrs. Barnes is completely passionate about public education. She will talk about the challenges and joys of being a public school educator. Everyone is invited to this session but especially any student considering the field of education.

Hannah Wright is a Global Citizenship Fellow for UNICEF. The United Nations Children's Fund works for children's rights, survival, development and protection. Be part of our mission. UNICEF is working toward the day when ZERO children die from preventable causes and every child has a safe and healthy childhood. She will be discussing the importance of clean water, education and immunizations of children worldwide.

Attention Juniors: Project Opportunity Scholarship
The Project Opportunity Scholarship deadline for Juniors is December 1, 2015. This scholarship will give students an opportunity to attend Weatherford College for two years with their tuition, fees, and books paid for. Students may not wait until they are seniors to apply for the scholarship. If you need an application or have questions about the scholarship, please visit the counseling office. Sophomores may turn in their applications anytime this year.
