SIGN UP DEADLINE IS THIS WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 12th AT 5PM.

The State of Florida requires all public schools to provide 900 hours of instructional time (720 hours for grades K-2) per year over a minimum of 180 school days. Due to the hurricane, our 180 school days has been reduced to 175. However, we still have 917 instructional hours (this does not include lunch and recess) scheduled, which exceeds the State requirement.

Since Patel Elementary School meets the sufficient mandatory instructional hours, we will not need to make up any time due to Hurricane Ian. PES will resume our current school calendar (attached) and will not have school on October 17th as previously scheduled.

Aftercare registration is available through Patelelementary.org. There is a $20 registration fee. The weekly fee is $65 and must be paid in advance.

Program Hours:

1:40 PM - 6:00 PM (Monday-Thursday)

12:40 PM - 6:00 PM (Friday)

High traffic times to avoid when picking up:

High School- 2:30-3:00 PM (Exit lane only, our entrance is available)

Middle School- 3:20- 4:15 PM (Very heavy traffic)

All educators in Florida are monitored to ensure they meet certification and training requirements as mandated by law. Per Florida Statute 1012.42, when a teacher is assigned teaching duties out of the field in which the teacher is certified, the parents of all students in the class shall be notified in writing.
