1ST DAY OF SCHOOL - THURSDAY, 08/26/21

We're so glad to see you back!

We welcome you to the 2021-22 school year with optimism and excitement. We are thrilled to see our students back for face to face instruction. I want to acknowledge that there may be some anxiety about returning back to school. However, it is my hope that the information in this parent bulletin and future communications will help you feel informed and confident as students return back to school full-time.

As we transition back to school, we will be conducting Active Health Screenings (temperature checks) at the entrance to school. To minimize the spread of COVID-19, our school follows all health measures required by the CA Department of Public Health and Human Services. Please CLICK HERE to review our FAMILY RESOURCE GUIDE before the first day of school. We consider, our families to be our most important partners. As such, we are depending on you to screen your child BEFORE they come to school. Remember, students must stay home when they feel sick and must wear a face covering while in school. Please notify your student’s teacher or our office as soon as possible, if your student is diagnosed with COVID-19. Our health office team is ready to assist and support our families. Together, we can keep our students, staff, and community healthy in a safe and welcoming environment at school.

TK - 8:00-11:21 am (Extended hours begin on 01/03/22)
K - 8:15-11:45 (Extended hours begin on 09/13/21)
Grades 1-3 - 8:00-2:20 pm
Grades 4-5 - 8:00-2:30 pm

School Uniforms are OPTIONAL this year!

After a lot of conversations with our school staff and community members, the Williams School uniform policy will be OPTIONAL this year. However, here are some basic guidelines for safety and school appropriateness.

GUIDELINES:

No open-toed shoes.
No transparent or spaghetti strap tops.
No torn jeans or pajamas.
No inappropriate pictures, profanity or alcohol/drug related logos.

Reminder: We will continue to practice safety first for all staff and students:

If you have a temperature of 99.5 or above please stay home.
Wear a mask-to cover both nose and mouth while at school.
Washing hands well, often, using hand sanitizer
