If your child will be absent or late, please call our office at (515)242-8441 or email us at samuelson@dmschools.org by 9:00 AM in the morning of their tardy or absence. Students must be in their classroom at 8:45 or they will be counted tardy.

Fall conferences are quickly approaching. Notes for scheduling your preferred time went home on Tuesday, September 26th. If you did not receive this communication, please contact your child's teacher to let them know your preference for your conference time. Conferences take place on Wednesday, October 18th and Thursday, October 19th.

At Samuelson we do not charge for you to belong to our PTO. We believe all stake holders need to work together to make Samuelson a great place. Parent volunteers that make up our Parent Teacher Organization are an intricate part of our school. PTO volunteers help out with several things including fundraising, activity organization, parent/teacher communication, etc. For more information check out the links below:

Fall pictures are on Tuesday, October 17th. Picture information packets will be sent home on Tuesday, October 3rd. If you would like to purchase fall pictures, you must return the envelope with payment on picture day.

Samuelson staff and students are continuing their work toward becoming a School for Rigor. Currently, we are focusing on the role of the facilitator in group work and accountable talk between students.
