On behalf of the second grade team we would like to say thank you to those who came to our curriculum night. We hope that you will use the strategies and methods to help your child improve academically.
As a reminder students need to bring a water bottle to school each day. Also parents, please make sure that students only bring snacks that can be consumed in a timely manner.
It is important that students continue to read AR books and complete their reading log. Reading helps to increase vocabulary and comprehension.
Continue to work on basic math facts and sight words. We want to make sure students show significant growth on EOY assessments.
Resource:
1st and 2nd grade students who were able to check out library books this week, make sure you are enjoying reading your books. Make sure you know what day you go to the library and be ready to bring them back to library class next week to swap them out. If you have library books, even from last year, you can still turn them back in. Thanks so much *Mrs. Edwards
Music: Monday of each week, Music Google Classroom will have new weekly postings and resources.
