Fairmount Elementary's Ms. Margo Carman took advantage of the August heatwave to teach her Kindergarten students about the temperature difference between shade and direct sun, and the effect on crayons.

Independence School District teachers were recognized at Truman High School by KMBC 9’s Banding Together for Teachers.
