Reminder: Conferences are tomorrow and Friday (no school!)
COVID-19 test kits will be sent home with all students today
This afternoon, your student(s) will receive an iHealth test kit to take home.
According to the Washington State Department of Health, “Timely testing of symptomatic students and staff helps reduce days of in-person instruction lost.”
Please consider testing your student 1-2 days before returning to school from spring break to help limit the spread of COVID-19.
Thank you for your help as we work together to keep kids in school.
Join us for a day of community service
be Bremerton: A Day of Service is a districtwide event to show the Bremerton Community and the City of Bremerton our thanks for their tremendous support of the Bremerton School District and our students.
BSD students, staff, families and volunteers will gather at Evergreen Rotary Park the morning of Saturday May 14, and then break-up into teams to clean up downtown Bremerton. We want the city looking good for the annual Armed Forces Day parade and celebration.
Soon we will be recruiting team leaders and sharing a sign-up those who want to participate in the event! More details coming soon!
Reminder for parents with students in grades 4-9 or grade 11
Reminder for parents in grades 4-9 or grade 11
Earlier this week you should have received an email from the District with information on how to access your child’s child’s Smarter Balanced Assessment (test) results from fall 2021 that are now available in Skyward. If you did not receive this email, if you don’t have a Skyward login, or if you need assistance resetting your password, please contact your child’s school.
These test results are only one way to know how students are doing in key academic areas. Your child’s teacher will have evidence of their achievement level from a variety of sources to guide their planning and instruction to support your child’s academic growth. We encourage you to talk to your child’s teacher about these test results and your student’s progress during your conference this week.
To access the test results, you will need to click on the “portfolio” tab on the left menu bar. These results are NOT in the “test scores” section.
Here are some resources to help you access your child’s Skyward account.
If you don’t have a Skyward login or need assistance resetting your password, please contact your child’s school.
Thank you.

Assistant Director of Assessment & Data Literacy
