TCPS FY23 Annual Report
Maryland School Report Card Data
Dr. Helga Einhorn Presented TCPS MD School Report Card Data at the 12-14-23 BOE Meeting
The Maryland State Department of Education has released the Maryland School Report Card Data for the 2022-23 school year. The website offers information on the performance of every school in the state. The school ratings, which are determined using metrics that are part of Maryland's accountability system under the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA), reflect the performance of a school and county on several components. Maryland began implementing the system in the 2017-2018 school year. This is the second release of the MD Report Card following a two-year pause due to the pandemic.
The Report Card uses multiple indicators of school performance to arrive at a rating of one to five stars. For elementary and middle schools, the system considers Academic Achievement, Academic Progress, progress in achieving English Language Proficiency, and School Quality & Student Success. For high schools, the system considers Academic Achievement, Graduation Rate, Progress in Achieving English Language Proficiency, College and Career Readiness, and School Quality & Student Success. In Talbot County, all TCPS schools received star ratings of three or more.
You can find Talbot County's school report cards and other information on the MD Report Card website at https://reportcard.msde.maryland.gov/.
