CTE Spotlight - Pathophysiology
Mrs. Kite's Pathophysiology students have spent the semester studying human disease and its effect on the body. Early this semester while studying cancer and blood disorders, students attended a field trip to see out local blood banks. Students were able to understand the critical need for blood products in Lubbock and the surrounding areas. Visit www.vitalant.org to schedule a donation.
Students also visited the TTUHSC School of Medicine Cancer Center, and toured the lab of the South Plains Oncology Consortium to see and hear of the world renowned, pioneering cancer research occurring in their lab right here in our own city. Students learned about cancer cell lines and how they are used to transform the future of cancer research.
