Visiting Artist, Bren Bataclan, was here all week with us! How lucky were we? During two Monday assemblies, Bren introduced himself, his work and inspiration – spreading kindness. Students and teachers had a great time drawing along with Bren and sharing some of their works! Our fifth grade students worked more closely with Bren as they created the images for our “I can” themed mural. Some of the images reflect working hard, reaching for the stars, eating healthy, exploring, and helping others - many with a nod to coastal Scituate. Students were able to watch the process as Bren worked through lunches during the week.
The big reveal took place during lunch on Thursday as Bren explained his multi-step process and answered questions.
