MESSAGE FROM OUR PRINCIPAL
What a great start to the school year! As the principal at Clemson Elementary, I appreciate all your patience as we kick off the school year. Our students and teachers are settling into what I know will be a great year.
Our car lines have been really good as well. We appreciate your patience with the car lines as we navigate this process. It would speed up the process if you could help us have your student(s) ready to leave the car in the morning. In the afternoon, please encourage your student(s) to pay attention to the names called for dismissal. These two things will drastically help our car lines. Finally, please do not block the crosswalks in front of the school. Officer Mills does a great job moving our traffic, but sometimes, our walkers cannot cross due to being blocked. Again, thank you for helping make our car lines and traffic what we deem a success.
Speaking of walkers and bikers, I am excited to experience my first walk-and-roll event. I understand it is a huge event. Of course, this is a day where we encourage students and parents to walk or bike to school. I know information has been sent home concerning parking locations. I encourage everyone to take part in this wonderful event and stay safe.
As I close, I again want to thank you for your warm reception to me. I have thoroughly enjoyed getting to know families here at Clemson Elementary. I look forward to meeting many more of you in the coming days. I hope everyone has a great little break for Labor Day.
Be Great!
David W. Thompson
