We would like to invite you to attend our in-person Fall 2022 Parent Teacher Conferences on Monday, November 21st and Tuesday, November 22nd, 2022.

Indian Grove will be using the same online booking system that we used last spring called Meet the Teacher. This system will allow you to choose and book conference times with your child’s teacher(s), as well request translation services if needed. All conferences will be in-person this year.

Appointments can be made starting now and will close on November 16th @ 7:00 p.m.

Please visit https://rivertrailsdistrict26.meettheteacher.com/ and follow the Parent Guide to book your conference appointments. Specials teachers (P.E., Art, Music and LRC) will be drop-in and do not require a sign-up.

Also, if you require child care (for students kindergarten-age and older) during your conference time(s), please complete this short Google Form so that we can plan for child care coverage.

Book Fair

The library will be hosting the Scholastic Book Fair during conference hours. Students will create wish lists the week of November 14th. You can sign up for an ewallet and find out more information at https://bookfairs.scholastic.com/bf/indiangrove.

Mrs. Creaser is looking for volunteers to help set up and assist first graders during the book fair. Each day that you come to volunteer, you will receive $10.00 off of this book fair. We need up to 10 volunteers for November 11th and 4 volunteers to help first graders create a wish list on November 14th, 15th,16th and 18th.

5th Grade Yearbook Student Shout Outs

For an additional $5, 5th grade parents/guardians have the opportunity to contribute a short shout-out (3-6 sentences) about your student to be included in the 2022-2023 yearbook. An example can seen below.

If you have a 5th grade student and are interested in including a shout out in the 2022-2023 yearbook, please drop off your blurb and $5 in an envelope with your student's name on it to the main office by December 22.

AM Car Dropoff

If you are dropping your student off by car in the morning, please make sure to ONLY drop them off where the adults are stationed. Students should not be dropped off by the playground.

For the safety of all students and families, thank you for not bringing your dogs or other pets onto school property.

Lunch Menu Updates

Weather

Now that the weather is starting to change, we wanted to remind everyone of our decision making process when there is less than ideal weather.

We use this chart to help determine whether is is too hot or too cold for students to be outside. If the "Feels Like" temperature is in the red on the chart, students will be inside for arrival, physical education class, and/or recess. In the winter, that typically means the temperature + wind chill is below 10°F.

Generally, students will be outside unless there is thunder/lighting, moderate/hard rain or snow, or extreme amounts of ice. Please make sure students are dressed appropriately for the weather when they leave in the morning.

Donuts with Grownups - Families with Last Name N-Z

There are still spaces available for tomorrow's PTC Donuts with Grownups activity for families with a last name that starts with N-Z (A-m was today).

Cost is $1 per person due at the door. SIGN UP IS REQUIRED. Only 1 grown up per student please so we can fit everyone. Please do not bring younger siblings. WE WILL CLOSE THE FORM AFTER CAPACITY HAS BEEN MET.

We are excited to announce that the 2022/2023 River Trails School District 26 Directory App is now available!

DirectorySpot is sponsored by the Euclid, Indian Grove, Prairie Trails, and River Trails PTC.
