Oct. 30- Photo Retake Day!
Wagner Portrait Group will be at school on Monday, October 30th, to photograph any students who were absent on the initial picture day or any student that needs his/her picture retaken. All retakes will be done at the elementary school; students will be dismissed to walk over to get pictures made. If you are having a picture taken as a RETAKE, please make sure your student returns their package in its entirety, including the package insert sheet, to the photographer.
Picture order forms are available in the high school office. School pictures may also be ordered online at http://bit.ly/2ugWEvQ.
8:00 a.m. ~ Elementary students
8:30 a.m. ~ Middle School students
9:00 a.m. ~ High School students
Nov. 2- Senior Composites
Order forms must be turned in to the photographer on picture day or parents may order online at http://bit.ly/2ugWEvQ.
GIRLS: You will be photographed in a traditional drape provided by Wagner Portrait Group. For your comfort and modesty, we suggest wearing a tank-top that has thin straps that can easily be pulled down when putting on the drape.
Wagner Portrait Goup will also provide Caps & Gowns for all students.
Nichols Students: Wagner Portrait Group will be at school from 8:00am-12:00pm to accommodate your schedule. As soon as students return to the high school, they should go directly to the library to have their photograph taken.
Leon's Patriot Tree
This year, the Patriot Tree is being named Leon’s Patriot Tree to honor a local fallen Marine hero, Leon Deraps. Blair Oaks is called upon to honor our veterans by donating items to the Blue Armory and/or making monetary donations. See flyer for more info.

Veterans' Day Celebration
The Blair Oaks R-11 School District will be having its annual Veterans’ Day celebration on Friday, November 3, 2017, at 9:00 a.m. in the high school gymnasium.
This year's guest speaker is U.S. Army Veteran, Sergeant Jeffrey Pugliese of the Watertown, Massachusetts Police Department. Sgt Pugliese was instrumental in taking down the Boston Marathon terrorist bombers in April 2013.
If you know of any Veteran's name that needs to be added to our list, please email Roxie Carlton, rcarlton@blairoaks.org, by Wednesday, November 1st.
We are also interested to know if any students have parents that are deployed overseas or already know they will be deployed in the future. Please email Dr. Melinda Aholt, maholt@blairoaks.org, if she has not already been in touch with you.

Help Blair Oaks High School create a vision!
Our goal is to create a vision that allows us to know where we want to be in the next 3-5 years. What is important to us? What do we need to put in place that we don't already have? What areas do we need growth? We are asking for your input! Please take a few moments to answer the following questions in the attached form.
