A note from the principal's desk...
Last week, this section looked really wonky. I don't know if it was the time change or a glitch in the internet, but this section didn't save and publish. So, if you were curious about why this area looked weird...that's why.
One of the things I did want to beg for your help on is this: We have noticed a large uptick in the number of inappropriate comments coming from kids. Many of those comments are racial or sexual in nature. Those two topics are incredibly sensitive in our world right now and regardless of political affiliation, moral compasses or how your family navigates these topics, we need to be consistent in the message: They have no place in school. This place needs to be a safe environment that promotes educational and social growth. Please have a conversation with your student around appropriate talk at school. We will too!
The other thing (I believe) I wanted to reiterate is SLEEP! We have a lot of sleepy kids. Phones, TVs, tablets, gaming devices and computers in the room, are very enticing and kids will want to be on them. If you can, keep them out of the room. Have kids get off of them at least 1 hour before bedtime. Reminder...our kids need between 9-11 hours of sleep each night.
Lastly, one thing that I never knew to be possible is that lost clothing actually multiplies! WOW, our Lost and Found is out of control. Please have your kids check the lost and found if you are missing something. We will be donating any unclaimed clothing to local clothing pantries in a few weeks.
Please reach out if you have any questions!
Have a great week everyone!
Scott

A message from our food service director
Please complete a school lunch application if your income has changed since you last filled one out or if you have not yet completed one this year. This information is super helpful for R-P funding, but also necessary for food service to have if an additional round of P-EBT cards go out. Complete the form online at lunchapp.com. THANK YOU!
