MCAS for Grades 3-8
June 1st + 2nd: Grades 6-8 ELA and Math
June 3rd: Grade 5 and 8 Science
June 8th + 10th: Grades 3-5 ELA and Math
In-Person Learners: To prepare for testing, students who learn in the building will leave their chromebook and charger at school during the week before testing.
Remote Learners: We suggest that all remote families ensure that the TestNav browser (the platform used for testing) is working properly. To do this, please log into the MCAS browser test link. This should provide you with some reassurance that things at home are in good shape for test day. Immediately after logging in, you will see “passed” if all is well for running the MCAS on the device. If you see that the device has failed any of these tests, please email Emily (ebekenstein@bostonpublicschools.org) or Nikki (nspivey@bostonpublicschools.org) with the section that failed so that we can help you.

PRIDE Values!
Please provide us with your input on core values for Orchard Gardens! Help us decide what our school values are, and how they can guide us in our relationships and the work we do together, so all of us can reach our goals!
We have created different ways for you to contribute your ideas and feedback about these values. We’d love to hear from you in one or more of the following ways.
You can fill out the survey here.
You can also email us directly with questions, suggestions, or other thoughts at epiering@bostonpublicschools.org or pkelleher@bostonpublicschools.org. Link to the PRIDE values. (We’d love to learn what other values or behaviors not reflected in PRIDE would you like to have included. Do these values match up with your own family’s values around learning and community? Do any of these values conflict or fall short of defining your family’s beliefs? What are some ways that we can help to model these values for our students and help them care enough about them to truly integrate them into their daily school lives?)
You can join our PRIDE values Zoom conversation on Tuesday, June 8. Please email us to let us know as well if you are interested in participating or just listening in to this conversation.
