Student Supports
Over the course of the first few weeks we have being teaching your child our school expectations and rules of how to appropriately interact as a Second Street student. We are entering our next phase of supports for students that might need additional structures this week. If your child is in need of behavior structures and additional monitoring we will be in contact with you before Phase 2 begins. If you have questions please feel free to reach out to Mrs. Sams.
Extension Rotation
PTSA
Thanks to all who attended the first PTSA General Meeting of the 2023-2024 academic year! The turnout was impressive and one of the best ever! We discussed the budget, PTSA overview, committee chairs, program descriptions, expectations, concerns of parents, and more.
Our next PTSA General Meeting is Nov. 14, 2023, at 6 p.m. The location will be announced soon. Stay tuned!
What is the PTSA doing this week?
The Fall Festival Committee is scheduled to meet this week and start the planning process for this upcoming event. Additionally, the special program committee chairs will reach out to volunteers to discuss next steps and plans for action. Our membership recruitment campaign is still ongoing, and we are continuing to onboard new school volunteers.
Elevating Voices & Building Community
Our PTSA gives members the opportunity to provide feedback on education and areas that affect families and students. Children succeed when families, schools, and communities work together. Let us help to elevate your voice!
If you have yet to join the PTSA, it’s not too late! Complete the membership application and connect with us today!
We are looking for students in 6th-8th grades to join the PTSA!
Student leaders are important to the PTSA, and those interested are encouraged to join. Student members will be involved in assisting with special events and activities and serving as a voice for the student body.
Fundraising
Ask your friends and family to join in supporting these efforts!
Our most successful fundraising effort is through the Kroger Community Rewards Program, and the process to join is simple! All you need is a Kroger Shoppers Card to enroll.
Visit the Kroger Community Rewards website and follow the steps to link your Kroger Shoppers Card to our school. After enrolling, every time you shop at Kroger and use your card a small percentage of your purchases goes to support the Second Street School PTSA.
Sponsorships
Are you interested in becoming a PTSA sponsor? There are several sponsorship opportunities available, and we would love to hear from you. Sponsor donations, along with our Kroger Community Rewards, help to fund the PTSA committee work that supports our school. Please complete this form, and we will reach out with more information.
Apply to Volunteer
The PTSA oversees the volunteer program for Second Street School. Anyone wishing to serve as a volunteer must complete a screening process. If you are interested in becoming a volunteer please email sssfrankfort@gmail.com
