Arcola 8th Graders Begin Their Job Shadowing Project this Week!
Mrs. Berardelli, 8th grade school counselor will join with the 8th grade English teachers to kick off the Job Shadowing Project. During this classroom lesson with their counselor, students will complete the Career Key assessment in Naviance to discover their Holland Code. Knowing their personality types can help identify careers they may be interested in. Students work on this project throughout the year, shadowing a community worker to learn the ins and outs of a chosen career. This project culminates in the spring with a visual presentation to their peers. Enjoy this experience 8th grade!

Look What Our Teachers Were Up To!
A Day in the Life of a North Montco Student
Seven Arcola and Methacton High School teachers spent a day at the end of last school year at North Montco Technical Career Center. They learned about the school, the wide variety of programs, and the hands on learning that takes place. Here's what they had to say:
- It was great to see our students working in their trade. It was fun to let them teach me something they learned that they are passionate about. The staff was fabulous.
- I really enjoyed meeting the instructors and seeing how they employ active learning to engage students. The students were so warm and actively included me in there learning.
- It surprised me how each department felt like its own school. The classrooms are set up in such a real world setting. Its so mind blowing to go from working on lawn mowers in a garage full of tools and equipment to an industrial like kitchen baking a cake!
- It is an excellent program and there is such a great opportunity for growth and learning in their field.
- That this is a great place for students to learn whether they are going to college or to work.
- Why don't all students attend NMTCC?
