So far only 31 students, or 10% of our school, have had their families complete theirA solid home-school partnership is vital for every student's success. Our Title I Student, Family, Teacher Compact and our PBIS Brochure w/ school behavior matrix (attached below) outline how we will work together to help our students learn, grow, and show the Dragon Way.

This Monday, GFTC kicks off its first Read-a-thon fundraising campaign to get our new playground purchased and built.

Students/families will receive a goal sheet and envelope to ask for donations/sponsor to participate in this event which takes place during school on Wednesday, October 20.

Cash and checks, may out to Grewenow & Family Teacher Community, can be turned in by October 15th.

Even more information, including student and class prizes, will come next week!

Socktober: We will be collecting new socks for the Shalom Center all month!

Kenosha County's annual Red Ribbon Campaign for the month of October promotes living a life "drug free." In order to raise awareness in our school, each day the week of October 11th will feature a spiritwear theme. Those themese are shared below

Monday October 11TH: Be a superhero and say no to drugs!

Wear a superhero shirt and/or cape

Tuesday October 12th: We will not fall for drugs!

Dress like a lumberjack

Wednesday October 13th: Peace out to drugs!

Wear peace signs and/or tie dye

Thursday October 14th: Drugs can’t find me!

Wear camouflage

Friday October 15th: Team up against drugs!

Wear your favorite sports team

Fall parent teacher conferences are virtual this year and will take place October 20 - 22.

• Scheduling will be done exclusively through the application Calendly. Please click this link to access your teacher's availability
• Families with multiple children must coordinate times that work with their family’s schedule.
• Appointments are 15 minutes. Families may only sign up for 1 appointment.
  
• When signing up, families should use their STUDENT’s NAME but the GUARDIAN EMAIL address.
• Each family will receive their own unique meeting link for each of their child(ren).

• Families can contact their child's teacher with questions or if any other accommodations needed.

There is no school on Friday, October 22 because of morning conference times.

Please make sure your child arrives at school with a well-fitting mask. Masks are still required at all times in the building per the Better Together plan unless students are eating. Faceshields can be worn with a mask, but not in place of the mask.

If your child has a ADA medical exemption, the office needs a note signed by a medical doctor on file.

Grewenow will be operating through the use of KUSD's Better Together 2021-22 plan. You can view the details of that plan in

At this time, visitors are not allowed in KUSD buildings. If you need to turn something in or drop something off for your child, you can

• Drop something off, ring bell at Door 1 and place it in the Door way

If you need to pick your child up early, call the office ahead of time so we can have them ready. When you arrive, you can come to Door 1 and ring the bell, OR call the office, and we will send them out Door 1 (the new main entrance)

The Grewenow Family & Teacher Community (GFTC) is our school's PTO. It meets the first Wednesday of each month and focuses on supporting and enhancing the educational experiences at Grewenow and providing opportunities for the school community to come together.

There is no cost to join, all Grewenow families may participate, and any time or resource that is given, great or small, is welcome and will make a difference!
