Principal's Message
Hello Eagle Crest Families!
Can you believe that we are already at the beginning of July? Summer is flying by (school starts in ~7 weeks!), but I hope that you are taking time to play outside, loosen up the schedule, and enjoy time with friends and family.
Here at Eagle Crest we just wrapped up a very successful, 4-week long Project Launch summer program. In addition to 100 students from Eagle Crest, we hosted about 90 additional students from Blue Mountain, Longmont Estates, Central Elementary, Flagstaff Academy, and Twin Peaks Charter School. Our theme for the summer was Blasting off in Space, and we focused on both reinforcing and expanding academic skills in Literacy and Math, and well as exploring and engaging with Space themed content. We were fortunate to have two visits from the Fiske Planetarium and a full day session with the SVVSD Mobile Innovation Lab to enhance our learning.
In partnership with our PTO, I am looking forward to increasing community involvement and engagement here at school. We are hopeful to be able to invite families back into the building and to explore some new ways for families to connect with each other and our school with the shared vision of supporting all students. You can expect continued communication throughout the summer as we make plans to kick off the school year!
Our office will be quiet until the end of July (no one is checking phone messages), but feel free to reach out by email at any time.
Enjoy the sunshine!
Warmly,
Amanda
