The SHS FFA has been extra busy lately!

Rachel, Kate, Belle, Grayson and Abby traveled to Sioux Falls for the AgriScience competition on Wednesday.

25 Members competed at the District I competition in Groton on Tuesday. The following teams advanced to compete next week at the State FFA Convention: Ag Mechanics, Dairy Cattle Judging, Agronomy, Horse Judging, and Ag Business.

Congratulations to Chris Castillo-Garcia on placing first in the individual division for the engineering/computer science category at the Regional Science Fair. Well done, Chris!

Kate Meyer recieved a certificate for the Naval Science Award.

Also competing at the Regional Science Fair were Belle Skarnagel, Tara Nelson, Krista Langager, and Ruby Rice.

A quick reminder to check with Ms. Veflin-Filipek about scholarship deadlines. Many of them are due this coming week.

Underclassmen will be registering for next year's classes next week. Be sure to chat with your student about what classes they are signing up for in the 2023-2024 school year.

The ACT test is being held at SHS on Saturday. If you registered, make sure you arrive at the school before 8:00, eat a good breakfast and get a good night's sleep so you can do your best. If you have not registered, but have questions about registering for upcoming ACT tests, be sure to contact Ms. Veflin-Filipek.

Stay caught up with your homework and grades by participating in Homework Help every Thursday in the SHS library from 3:30-5:00 pm. Come for a quiet space to work and extra support from teachers.
