Happy Sunday Harrington Families
Happy Pre-Halloween Sunday! I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend. We had a good week of school this past week and continue to focus on the growth and success of all of our students. Tomorrow will be holding our 3rd annual Costume for a Cause Event! This event is a wonderful way to bring our community together for a day of laughter and excitement for the entire community. Reminders regarding this event are listed below in this news letter. I look forward to seeing the staff and student dressed as their favorite characters tomorrow!
DISMISSAL REMINDER:
Please remember that if you are changing the way in which your student will be dismissed on a particular day please send in a note with your student, or call the main office. Teachers will follow the consistent plans of that day unless there is notification from a parent/guardian to them directly. Students can be confused on dismissal plans which causes extensive confusion and a delay in the dismissal process. Again, please send in a note or call the office if you change the way your student will be getting home on any particular day.
Thank you for your continued support of Harrington. We are an inclusive community, a special community, a community that will continue to support each other.
Please ensure that you are receiving all communications from the school and that your contact information is up to date. If at any time you have changed your contact information, please let the school know so we can update our systems.
As always, thank you for your continued support of our Harrington community. Please reach out to me or Karen with any questions or concerns as always.
Once again, remember to…"Push through your day, Smile, Be Happy, Stay Positive!"
Be safe! Stay well!

Costume for a Cause 2022!
We are excited to announce our 2022 “Costumes for a Cause” event! Students and staff who choose to wear a costume to school on October 31st are encouraged to give a donation (suggestion of $1.00) in order to participate.
We will be establishing an organization to donate in the next couple of weeks. All donation procedes will go to Caties Closet in Dracut. In the past we have donated to local animal shelters, Wounded Warrior Program and St. Judes Childrens Research Hospital.
Event Rules:
Costumes should be comfortable and safe to wear all day.
Costumes must be appropriate for elementary school (no monsters, zombies, etc.).
Costume provides no safety risk or distraction to the wearer or others in class. Must be easily set aside-nothing to trip over.
Absolutely NO weapons in the costume including, but not limited to: guns, swords/knives, chains, etc.
Students that do not plan on wearing, or do not have a costume are always welcomed to wear Orange and Black that day if they choose.
Staff in the Spotlight
Miss Carresi:
Miss Carresi is in her first year working at Harrington. She shared that her favorite memory here so far has been meeting new students at Kindergarten Orientation. She is most proud of her Room 6 family! If Miss Carresi could have three wishes, she would wish for 3-day weekends, a vacation to Italy and Greece, and for her family and friends to be happy to healthy. Her favorite hobbies outside of school are hiking and skiing. Some fun facts about her is that she is a lefty and her favorite book is If You Give a Moose a Muffin by Laura Numeroff. We are so happy to have Miss Carresi at Harrington! She is kind, caring, and creative!
Nurse Shevaun:
Nurse Shevaun has been working at Harrington since February of 2022. Her favorite memory at Harrington has been watching our students have a blast at field day last year. She said that seeing our students so happy and joyous is contagious! If she could have three wishes, she would wish for the health and happiness of her family and friends, successful school years for both of her boys and a vacation house on the beach. Nurse Shevaun shared that she is proud of her two boys, Teddy and Ben. They are kind, curious and fun. Her favorite hobby outside of school is horseback riding. She grew up riding horses and would love to leave or own a horse someday in the future. Her favorite book is The Story of Edgar Sawtelle by David Wroblewski. Nurse Shevaun transitioned into her role seamlessly last year and has been an amazing addition to our Harrington family. She is thoughtful, kind and supportive to all students and staff!
