Dear Families,
As it gets colder outside, please make sure you help your children dress appropriately. The varying temperatures may require an extra jacket or sweatshirt that can be removed or added throughout the day. Remember to write your child's name on the tags of clothing that may be left behind. Our Lost and Found is already starting to fill up with nameless sweatshirts and water bottles.
The cooler weather also makes it a bit harder to get out of our warm beds. BUT, REGULAR ATTENDANCE is so important for student academic and emotional growth. Students should be present at school 95% or more of the time. This equals about ONE day absent per month during the school year. The Illinois State Board of Education defines chronic absences as greater than 10% absence rate....that equals about two days absent per month. If your family needs support with ensuring students get to school every day and on time, please reach out to one of our social workers or administration. We are here to help!

Most of us will get to the month of May and wonder...."Did I order a yearbook?!" Then we are bummed when we call the office to pay for an extra one and there are NO EXTRAS! I've. Been. There.
