Hometown Families:
Thank you for all of the kind words and gifts last week during Principal Appreciation Week. I am truly blessed to serve a great community.
Weather Dress: Please make sure that your child is dressed appropriately for the weather. The students will wait outside before school and go outside for recess any day that the wind chill is above 32 degrees. Your child should have a coat, hat, gloves etc. in order to be prepared for the dip in temperatures ahead.
October 31st
Students will be able to come in costumes for our half day on Halloween. We will have a parade for students and parents to view outside weather permitting. If we have bad weather, we will have the parade in the gym. After the parade, teachers will have Halloween activities for their classrooms. If you child would like to bring non-edible items to pass to the class they may do so. Teachers will be completing fun activities related to Halloween.
Math Challenge
Look at some of the hard work our families created! These haunted houses are amazing!

First Grade Fun
Have you ever seen a pigeon driving a bus? Well if you see one trying… stop him! First grade headed to Moraine Valley College last week to watch the play “Don’t Let the Pigeon Drive The Bus!”Did you know that the author of this popular children's book once was a writer for Sesame Street?? He has written so many popular children's stories and continues to write today from his home in New York. The first graders HIGHLY suggest checking out these other books by Mo Willems.
