Happy New Year
Over the next few weeks, we will be conducting NWEA Testing. These standardized tests give us very valuable data and information on the progress your child is making in his/her current grade level. They also let us know of any deficit areas we need to focus on during this second semester. Please encourage your child to do his/her best. It helps to us obtain reliable information to help our kiddos grow academically. Students will begin testing on Monday.
Here are a few other important dates for your calendars:
- January 10: Report cards go home with students
- January 10: PTO Spirit Night at Larry's Pizza 4 pm - 8 pm (See info below)
- January 17: No School in Observance of Dr. Martin Luther King Day
It’s that time of year when the temperatures have started dropping. Please always ensure that your student comes prepared for the weather. We will go outside for recess if the "feels like" temperature is above 32 degrees and it is not raining/snowing. Always be sure that your child is wearing a coat, hat, and gloves when the weather is cold. We suggest that you write your child’s name in his/her belongings in case it ends up in our Lost and Found.
Masks will be REQUIRED for the week of January 10-14, 2022. Our district updates our mask status each Friday. Currently, masks are required for anyone entering the building. Please make sure your child has his/her mask each day. You can check the district's mask status each Friday for the upcoming week on our district website or our school social media pages.
Thank you so much for your continued support and allowing us the opportunity to work with your child/children. As always, if you have any questions or need anything, do not hesitate to contact us.
Proud to be your Principal,
Michele Lewis
