The JCHS PTSA will be offering $500 scholarships to two (2) JCHS graduating seniors this school year. Instructions and application can be found at http://bit.ly/JCPTSAScholarship.

Application Deadline is March 30, 2023 by 3:30pm to the JCHS Guidance Office. The application form, essay, JCHS PTSA membership, and two (2) high school teacher recommendations must all be submitted prior to the deadline for consideration.

James Clemens HOSA brought home 11 Gold Medals, 7 Silver Medals, 7 Bronze Medals, and 9 students placed either 4th-6th place in their specific events! We are so proud of these students and teachers for all of their hard work & dedication! Go Jets!

JC Outdoor Track and Field Program has claimed overall positions in both boys and girls in their first two invitationals. The first was the Early Bird Battle Royale, and the second was Redcoat Bob Jones Invitational. Keep up the good work!

Both boys and girls won first place at the JV Decatur tournament.

This year the JCHS Prom will be on April 1st from 8 pm - 11 pm at the USSRC - Davidson Center. Tickets are now available for purchase on the GO FAN platform. They are $50 each and will be available until March 24th.

Students will need their student number, which can be found on their transcript in Powerschool, to purchase tickets through GoFan.

If your student is bringing a date from another school, they will need to submit a completed outside guest form. Once that has been received, the JC student will receive an access code to purchase the guest ticket. Forms can be turned in to Ms. H Courtney in H103 or Ms. Strode (Media Center) to receive an access code to purchase the guest ticket.

If your student is bringing a freshman or sophomore from JC they will need to check in with Ms. H Courtney in H103 or Ms. Strode (Media Center) to receive an access code to purchase the guest ticket.

This information can be found in the Landing and outside H103. Students will need their ticket and a photo I.D. to be admitted to the event.

Dr. D will be playing in the 1st Annual Charity Classic Softball Game at Toyota Field on April 15th! This event is hosted by The Enrichment Center and will work to spread awareness and support for youth mental health services.Thanks to support from the community and partnerships with local schools, The Enrichment Center is able to provide mental health therapy sessions at no cost to students or their families! • The 2023 American Legion Boys State Applications are in the Counseling Department. Pick your application up today.
  
• There will be a Dual Enrollment meeting with UAH, Calhoun, and Drake, April 5. more information will be available after spring break.
  
• JC is partnering with Joseph A Banks and Men's Wearhouse for a Cash4Schools fundraiser. The more tux rentals we have, the more money we get! If we get just 25 rentals, we receive $500 and it goes up from there. So if you rent from Joseph A Banks or Men's Wearhouse, tell them you're from James Clemens!

• Students cannot be dropped off or picked up at the front circle of the school. Please follow the instructions to carline at the auditorium side of the building. This is for the safety of our students and to help the flow of traffic. We appreciate your cooperation!
  
• Students checking in or who arrive at school after the start of the school day, should ONLY enter the building from the front entrance and go through the attendance office.
  
• Students are allowed 5 parent notes PER semester. If your student is out of parent notes then any tardy or absence will be unexcused without a doctor's excuse. You can monitor your students attendance in PowerSchool as well.
