Shark Byte for the week of October 2nd ππ¦
Principal's Corner
Greetings Shark Families,
October is proving to be an exciting month for our students. In order to celebrate their hard work and the accomplishments they are working toward, we are hosting a Spirit Week - free of charge! Students can look forward to dressing up in neon colors and space themed outfits this week. Please look under the Upcoming Events for more information regarding the daily themes for the FTE Spirit Week!
This week Kindergarten watched a live production of Click Clack Boo, a short play based off of a well-known picture book. All grade levels have shown their knowledge of Hispanic Heritage month through a variety of projects based on well known Latin Americans in the community. We also look forward to celebrating a Night of the Arts, at our 2nd Annual Hispanic Heritage celebration, on October 27th. Students are invited to create artwork and have an opportunity to win. If you are interested in participating as a business, please reach out to Ms. Snell. How exciting!!
Wishing all of our Shark families a fun and safe weekend!
Best Regards,
Andrew Moon, Principal

Classroom Shoutouts!
Ms. Montaque's 2nd grade class are taking the time to read passages on their own or with a buddy and make inferences from the text!
We have celebrated Hispanic Heritage throughout the month within classrooms in a variety of ways. For example, Ms. Ruddock's 2nd grade class displayed their knowledge of Hispanic Heritage Month by creating projects based on different Latin American countries.
Kindergarten was able to go on a field trip to the REM theater to watch a live production of Click Clack BOO!
Shark Shoutouts
From all of us to all of you, thank you for all that you do!
Thank you to our support staff who do so much around our school, from cleaning around the building to their incredible work in the carline. At OSCS, our support staff ranges from our amazing cafeteria crew to custodial and carline facilitation. They do far more than we see and we are incredibly grateful for the time and effort they put into their work.
