Greetings Central Families,

Happy Halloween! I hope you've had the opportunity to make the fall season special in whatever ways your family enjoys most.

It's been great seeing the Central community together as one during recent activities and events. Thanks to all for making our Fall Festival, Family Fitness Night, October Wellness BINGO, and Skating Party, smashing successes! Be sure to stay up on the many fun-filled events to come :)

Giant thanks for promoting The Rocket Way (Respect, Pride, Integrity) at home and outside of school, along with our CKH Leadworthy themes. There's strong evidence that it's working, as behavior referrals are down nearly 50% compared to this same point last year, and 94% of our student body have 0-1 referrals through the first quarter!!!

Reeths-Puffer's District Wellness Team would like to invite Rocket City to join us for monthly events, meetings and speakers. Our goal is to support the physical, nutritional, and mental health of our community, as well as increase environmental awareness around keeping Rocket City beautiful.

School pictures will be coming home this week. Picture retake day is scheduled for Tuesday, November 8th at 9:00am-10:00am for children who were absent on picture day or if you are unsatisfied with your child's picture. If you are opting for a retake, please send back the full contents of the original picture package on retake day with the information filled out on the picture envelope. Thank you!

We had a great time at the first Central Family Skating Party on Sunday afternoon. Hope you can join us at future skating parties on Monday, January 23rd and Sunday, March 26th!

Central Elementary students raised $1853. We crushed our goal and are so excited to purchase items to send to Florida to help students get back to school after recent hurricane devastation! Thank you so much to all who contributed to this great cause!

If you want your child to be included in the RWP program please sign and return the pledge form. We will have giveaways throughout the school year rewarding students that are showing the Rocket Way. Our end of the year RWP event will include our bike giveaway!

Our Capturing Kids' Hearts theme for the month of November is Teamwork. We will launch this theme at our CKH assembly on Friday, November 4th. See more details below about the theme.

Medications which need to be taken in school must be administered by certified school personnel (or designee) in the presence of another adult. Parents must bring medication to the school office in the original container and file a written statement. NO STUDENT MAY BRING ANY MEDICATION TO SCHOOL.
